Yellow(Asian) Dust in Korea. I can’t Breathe

I really really don’t want to post something about the Weather of Korea. (I posted snow things Three times) [tweetmeme “Jaehoonkorea” http://wp.me/pF4H6-aL]ย However, I think it’s really common thing and people may need to know about this Phenomenon. It’s called “Yellow Dust” or “Asian Dust”. The Reason it is called Yellow(Asian) Dust is because of the countries where the dust from. In Spring of Korea, from the desert of China and Mongol, there’s Yellow dust phenomenon which makes us can’t breathe freely.

As you can see on the photos, the dust made Korea in yellow.

  1. Hmmm. Does this happen every year? That is so interesting. I have never seen anything like that before. And since it’s harder to breath, what do you guys do to breath? Do you wear masks?

    • Yes, there weren’t many people who did wear masks, (some of them did) we usually close the windows and wear masks or.. go out less

      • That reminds me of the the fires that happen in California usually in the summertime. The smoke makes the sky grey.

      • Oh, California has a smoke problem in summer? I didn’t know

Yup. The reason is because there are a lot of fires. So after a while the air becomes gray and with smoke. Last year it was really bad. Te smoke lasted for almost 2 weeks!

      • Oh, Yellow dust has gone, but Smoke lasted for 2 weeks?! That’s too bad, well, there’s always environmetal problem

  3. it’s really been a ghostly day today i think because the yellow dust creates a heavy and dark kind of daylight… ยจfeels very strange…

    • Really Strange, in the morning I felt like having a rainy day (it really did though). I mean, the weather was… XX hehe
